As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol in Wilmington, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at an educational location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming campus environment. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate professionally with students, staff, and visitors, and respond to security-related concerns. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established campus protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter areas to help identify and report security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting suspicious behavior, hazardous conditions, and maintenance concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear, accurate incident reports and maintain professional communication with campus stakeholders, law enforcement, and emergency responders as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Have customer service experience, preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
