Job Summary
Southern California Spine and Joint Institute is seeking a part-time Medical Assistant to join our team in a growing, fast-paced, pain management office. This individual must be self-motivated, reliable and caring.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting physicians in minimally invasive office procedures
- Obtain thorough chief complaints, medical history and vital signs
- Educate patients on treatments offered
- Create radiology orders
- Obtain radiology reports from online portals
- You may also be expected to perform front desk responsibilities including but not limited to:
- answering phones
- scheduling patients
- checking patients in and out
- collecting co-pays/deductibles
Qualifications:
- Specialty experience preferred
- Certified Medical Assistant
- Compassionate with good interpersonal skills
- Ability to build rapport with patients
- EMR proficient
- Pain Management experience, fluoroscopy experience desired
