Part Time Vendor Receiver

Position Overview This part time position is focused on providing excellent customer service, checking in DSD vendors, and maintaining documentation for proper accountability and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Take excellent care of customers by satisfying each customer’s needs and exceeding their expectations. Accurately and effectively check in DSD vendors and maintain all documents and copies for proper accountability. Qualifications Exceptional interpersonal skills and willingness to complete required training and collaborate with the team to increase customer satisfaction and sales. High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must understand and use billing and accounting principles and processes. Ability to read, comprehend, and write simple correspondence in English; ability to effectively present information in one‐on‐one and small group situations to customers, clients, and associates who only speak English. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; ability to calculate discounts and percentages using American currency. Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions and to handle problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Complete company training including new hire orientation, customer service network, safety, vendor receiving technical skills training, and Vendor Receiving Certification. Physical demands: stand, walk, use hands, reach, lift and/or move up to 30 pounds, reach from 6–72 inches; occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling; requires close, color, and depth perception. Work environment: exposure to wet, hot, or cold conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals; moderate noise level. Must be at least 18 years of age. Compensation Eligible for Harris Teeter’s group benefit plans upon completion of applicable waiting periods.
