AM Pierce & Associates and Applied Technologies Group (ATG), a woman-owned small business, is seeking a System Administrator, Junior or Journeyman, to provide support to PMA-262, the Persistent Maritime Unmanned Aircraft Systems Program Office.

The estimated salary range for this position is $80,000 - $120,000 annually, based upon an individual's level of experience, skillset, and education. The work will be performed at Patuxent River, MD, in an on-site environment.

The responsibilities include:

• Providing engineering solutions for various and unique problem sets and customers in a government software hosting facility.
• Deploying and maintaining physical and virtual hardware infrastructure, to include virtual machines and containers.
• Performing routine maintenance and configuration changes to various physical and virtual hosts.
• Installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of hardware and software issues on servers, workstations, and IT equipment.
• Maintaining system backups and disaster recovery plans.
• Managing user accounts and permissions.
• Deploying and maintaining software applications.
• Troubleshooting technical issues.
• Maintaining documentation to include knowledge base, incident response actions, system configurations, and other information related to system administration.
• Providing technical support to customers, ranging from resolving technical issues to providing guidance and best-practices.
• Securing information systems and applications to current DoD guidance.
• Maintaining configuration and security posture of information systems through continuous monitoring and routine security events/reporting.
• Participating in project planning using Agile methodology.
• Providing networking support to on-premises infrastructure.
• Understanding and familiarity of Linux operating system and virtual networking.

Education & Experience:

• Active DoD Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain Top Secret (interim to start).
• Junior Level: One to two (1-2) years of experience in system administration, performing the functional duties for this position.
• Journeyman Level: At least three (3) years of experience in system administration, performing the functional duties for this position.
• Risk Management Framework (RMF) compliance experience is required (example: scanning and Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) execution).

Travel:
