Registered Nurse - ER

The Registered Nurse will provide professional nursing care in the emergency room setting, collaborating with a dedicated healthcare team to deliver patient-focused care. Nurses will manage patients from neonates to geriatrics, with conditions ranging from minor to critical, including trauma and stroke care.

Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care to patients from neonates to geriatrics experiencing minor to critical conditions.
• Perform triage assessments and prioritize patient care.
• Collect evidence and provide care for sexual assault patients, with support from the SA Quality Coordinator and permanent staff.
• Supervise support staff and collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams in the hospital.

Requirements:

• 2 years of Emergency Department experience excluding travel (RN); LPN with 2 years in an acute care setting preferred.
• Registered Nurse (RN) licensed by the South Dakota Board of Nursing.
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, TNCC, and PALS certifications required for RN.
• Experience with ESI assessments and the ability to manage a variety of patient types.

Shift: 12 Hour Variable
