EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION Required Education: Bachelor's Degree of Science Experience: 3 years of experience along with Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or Experience: 2 years of experience in epidemiology, research or infectious disease along with Master's Degree or Experience: No experience required with active RN license in the State of Texas or eligible for reciprocity Licenses and Certifications: (BLS) BASIC LIFE SUPPORT Certification through a course accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) Preferred Licenses and Certifications: (CIC) Cert in Infection Cntrl strongly preferred JOB DUTIES Infection control surveillance for the University Hospitals. Ensure compliance with CDC guidelines through active education of staff as well as on-site monitoring. Review medical records & consult with staff & physicians regarding potential infection control concerns. Data entry and review. Performs other duties as assigned.
