Emergency Room NurseWe are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Nurse to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of recent ER/Trauma Level 1 experience and be flexible with varying shift start times.Shift DetailsNight shift with varying start times: 3 PM, 5 PM, or 7 PM12-hour shifts with a guaranteed 36 hours per weekMinimum of 4 weekend shifts required per scheduling periodMust work 2 of 3 major holidaysFloating between multiple locations may be requiredResponsibilitiesProvide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Emergency RoomConduct patient assessments and triage to determine the seriousness of their conditionsCollaborate with physicians and other healthcare staff to develop and implement patient care plansAdminister medications and treatments, including IV therapies and conscious sedationDocument patient progress and changes in condition accurately and timelyParticipate in emergency response and cardioversions as neededMonitor vital signs and other indicators to ensure patient safety and comfortQualificationsMinimum of 2 years of recent ER/Trauma Level 1 experience requiredCurrent certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC or ATCNAbility to pass a dysrhythmia exam within 48 hours of receiving an offerModerate conscious sedation competency requiredUnit Information60-bed unit with 14 fast track bedsPatient ratio: 1:3-4Emergency Room team includes nurses, unit secretaries, and paramedicsCommon patient diagnoses include trauma, strokes, myocardial infarctions, and high-risk obstetricsAdditional InformationIn-house coverage by hospitalists or intensivists is available during shiftsPharmacy and respiratory therapy services are available 24/7Hospital supports a high volume of patient visits yearly, emphasizing rapid triage and treatmentOrientation includes 2-3 days on the floor for specific training
