Executive Director, GMP Lab

Executive Director leading a state-of-the-art GMP pharmaceutical laboratory organization in Middleton, Wisconsin. Responsible for strategic direction, operational management, revenue growth, and quality assurance across a global, matrixed laboratory services business.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational leadership and integrate laboratory processes, business development, R&D, and quality assurance functions
• Drive revenue growth, margin management, and customer satisfaction through on-time delivery and quality execution
• Lead financial planning including budget development, forecasting, and operating profit improvement
• Establish operational standards, laboratory goals, and policies ensuring regulatory compliance and quality assurance
• Build and develop high-performing teams across multiple departments, regions, and countries

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in science, technical, or business field; advanced degree preferred
• 15+ years leading multi-departmental clinical or analytical laboratories
• 10+ years advancing leadership across multiple departments, regions, and countries
• Expert knowledge of GxP, FDA, and European regulations for pharmaceutical lab processes
• Proficiency in analytical, bioanalytical, and clinical chemistry platforms and methodologies
• Proven expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and fiscal management
• Strong business acumen with experience in pharmaceutical and biotech operations
