About the Position

Job Opportunity – Operating Room Nurse – Virginia

Start Date: As soon as possible (dependent on EPIC training schedule)

Location: Arlington, Virginia

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 13-week assignment with schedule determined by management. Call coverage includes 3-4 call shifts every 6 weeks (8 hours each). Must be available within 30 minutes/30 miles of campus for call.

Highlights:

• Operating Room (OR) position with exposure to trauma, neuro, and ortho spine procedures
• Level II Trauma center experience preferred
• EPIC OP TIME (OR) electronic medical record system utilized
• Accelerated or 2-day EPIC training class required (testing out option available for experienced users)
• Smoke/nicotine-free facility committed to health and wellness
• Up to 7 hours of non-billable orientation modules completed during 16-hour new hire orientation

Requirements:

• Active Virginia RN license or valid Compact license in hand at time of submission (required – no pending applications accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room nursing experience
• Current BLS certification
• EPIC OP TIME experience required; candidates must provide statement of recent EPIC experience within the past year
• COVID-19 vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Flu vaccine required during flu season, October 1 through March 31 (medical exemptions only)
• Ortho procedural skills preferred
• Level II Trauma center experience preferred
