The Position

Minden Medical Center is hiring a full-time Certified Nurses Aide for the night shift in Minden, LA. This entry-level role supports safe, high-quality care by helping patients stay comfortable, clean, and informed while keeping the care team up to date.

Key responsibilities include assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), taking and recording vital signs, observing and promptly reporting changes in condition, maintaining an orderly patient environment, and documenting care in EHR/EMR systems under nursing supervision.

Required qualifications/skills:
- Active CNA certification
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Empathy, attention to detail, and sound judgment
- Ability to adapt in a fast-paced setting and work well on a team

Night Shift Rhythm

You’ll start by getting report, then settle into a steady overnight flow—quiet check-ins, thoughtful reassurance for patients and families, and quick coordination with nurses when something changes. Between rounding and charting, you’ll reset rooms, restock what’s needed, and keep an eye on details that help the unit run smoothly. As the shift moves toward morning, you’ll help prepare patients for the day ahead and pass along clear updates to the oncoming team.
