Contract | 13 Weeks | Days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an ICU and IMU setting with adult patient populations, including management of diagnoses such as COPD, acute respiratory failure, DKA, sepsis, and shock
• Administer and titrate critical drips including vasopressors and sedation medications
• Perform continuous cardiac monitoring and EKG interpretation
• Operate unit equipment including Baxter IV pumps, EndoTool, Bair Hugger, TR band, Hotline 3 fluid warmer, Abbott Glucometer, and bedside dialysis capability
• Document patient care accurately using Meditech EMR
• Float to Telemetry overflow as needed and work every other or every third weekend (expected 12 weekend hours)

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in North Carolina or compact state eligibility
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• Minimum 1.5 years of ICU or IMU nursing experience
• Associate degree in Nursing required
• Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be considered for travel placement

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Experience with Meditech EMR
• Strong teamwork skills with a flexible and adaptable approach to patient care
• Familiarity with telemetry and intermediate care unit workflows
