Pharmacy Manager

Oversees the day-to-day operation of the retail pharmacy. Assists in the recruitment and training of staff. Purchases and maintains inventory within acceptable levels to assure quality patient care. Identifies opportunities for revenue growth and patient care enhancement.

Job Duties

• Oversee the clinical activities of the pharmacy to ensure delivery of safe and effective patient care.
• Maintain patient records, prescriptions, and other documentation in keeping with pharmacy policies and the laws and regulations of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and Federal Standards.
• Manages fiscal matters, inventory control, and human resources in the retail pharmacy.
• Provides implementation and training of any new or existing policies and procedures to ensure the highest quality of pharmacy services.
• Interacts with co-workers, patients, visitors, and other staff consistent with the Core Values of Jefferson Health.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy
• 3 years to 5 years applicable managerial experience in retail pharmacy
• RP - Registered Pharmacist - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire

Preferred Qualifications

• Doctorate in pharmacy
• Master's degree in business or population health
• Meds-to-Beds Service
• Previous experience with pharmacy automation solutions

Physical Demands

Lift and carry 25 lbs. frequent sitting/standing, frequent keyboard use, *patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR.
