Job Title: Oncology RN Profession: RN Specialty: Oncology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 06:45 - 19:15 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2+ years License: RN License Required Certifications: BLS, NIHSS (AHA) Must-Have Skills/Experience: Med/Surg experience is required. Description: This position is for an RN specializing in Oncology. The shift will start at 06:45 and end at 19:15. The contract duration is 13 weeks. There is a guaranteed 36 hours per week. The unit has 18 beds with a patient ratio of 6:1. The types of patients on the unit include oncology, palliative care, post-operative bariatric, and medical-surgical overflow. The equipment used includes a computer, IV pump, vital sign machine, and other basic medical equipment. EMR will be utilized for documentation. Candidates must be responsible, dependable, compassionate, and patient-oriented. Only scrubs and scrub jackets in navy color are permitted for the dress code. Weekend hours are required every other weekend, but there are no on-call requirements. Float requirements may be necessary as needed. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in acute care.
