Our organization is currently looking for a Board Certified/Eligible Gastroenterologist to join us as a GI Hospitalist, focusing on the inpatient GI consult service. This role entails 26 weeks of inpatient GI consultative duties (Monday through Friday) along with 4 weekends of on-call responsibilities each year. The position will involve conducting general endoscopic procedures and collaborating with GI advanced practice providers and GI fellows during consults.

As a tertiary care teaching hospital with 929 acute care beds and a Level 1 trauma center located in Portland, Maine, our facility offers a unique environment. There are ample opportunities for clinical teaching, allowing you to mentor GI fellows, internal medicine residents, and students from the University of New England and Tufts University medical schools.
