Position Summary

The Registered Nurse will work in a collaborative and cooperative relationship with other members of the health care team. This role requires planning and implementing patient and family education while assessing patient needs and initiating appropriate interventions.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current Montana Licensure as a Registered Nurse
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification
• American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course certification
• Competence and willingness to practice modified primary nursing
• 1 year of experience in emergency nursing or critical care

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing

Essential Job Functions

• Collect and assess comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation.
• Analyze assessment data to determine diagnoses or issues.
• Identify expected outcomes for an individualized plan for the patient or situation.

Stroke Competency

• Comply with hospital policies and protocols related to hyper-acute and acute stroke care.
• Participate in 4 hours of annual stroke education.
• Complete 6 hours of verifiable trauma-related education annually.

Schedule Requirements

This role requires regular and sustained attendance. The position may necessitate working beyond a standard 40-hour workweek, including weekends and after-hours shifts.
