Registered Nurse - Medical Oncology UnitSchedule7:00 PM - 7:30 AM with a 36-hour guarantee. Required to take step-down patients.Job DescriptionThe medical oncology unit will consist of patients with a cancer diagnosis, medical step-down patients, and general medical overflow. This position requires basic knowledge of the pathophysiology of cancer and the ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients on this unit.ResponsibilitiesRegularly assesses patient needs and provides skilled nursing services as prescribed by the physician's authorized plan of care and accepted standards of nursing practice.Provides direct patient care, including nursing assessment, medication administration, treatments, call lights, assisting with transfers, and responding to alarms.Evaluates the effectiveness of treatment plans and patients' conditions to make suggestions and participate in updating/revising treatment plans in collaboration with other team members.Processes physician/provider orders and performs physician-ordered care accurately, completely, and in a timely manner.Follows up regarding medication changes and order clarifications.Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure2+ years of Med Surg Experience - RequiredOncology Experience - RequiredComfortable taking Step Down Patients - RequiredPrior Travel Work History - Highly PreferredEpic EMR Experience - Highly PreferredActive Michigan RN License - RequiredActive American Heart Association BLS - RequiredActive American Heart Association ACLS - RequiredWhy ARMStaffing?At ARMStaffing, we take care of our employees!
