It requires a technologist who understands what they are seeing, recognizes significant events as they occur, maintains accurate recordings, and produces quality studies physicians can rely on.Jamaica Hospital Medical Center is seeking an experienced Polysomnographic Technologist to join our Sleep Lab within the Department of Respiratory Medicine.What You'll DoPerform overnight polysomnographic studies for pediatric and adult patientsApply electrodes and sensors and ensure accurate, high-quality recordingsMonitor and document sleep stages, respiratory events, cardiac activity, oxygen saturation, and patient behaviorPerform CPAP/BiPAP titration as orderedScore sleep studies accurately and prepare findings for physician interpretationMaintain patient safety and comfort throughout testingTroubleshoot and maintain sleep-monitoring equipmentProvide patient education related to sleep studies and PAP therapyRequirementsWhat You'll Need Associate Degree (2-year degree) in Polysomnography Minimum 1 year of polysomnography experience, including experience scoring sleep studies Current New York State authorization required to practice as a Polysomnographic Technologist Appropriate qualifying sleep technology credential
