Job Title: Registered Nurse - Emergency Room Profession: RN Specialty: RN - ER Duration: 8 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours (3 or 4 shifts per week) Experience: Preferred acute care facility experience License: Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice Certifications: - Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification: Required - Client Fire and Life Safety (HLFS): Required - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS): Required - Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS): Required - NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS): Required Must-Have: Recent Epic experience Description: Delivers coordinated nursing care for assigned patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff. Coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking, professional discretion, and independent judgment. Collects relevant data pertinent to the patient’s health or situation. Analyzes assessment data to determine diagnosis and care issues. Develops a plan that prescribes interventions to attain outcomes. Implements the plan, coordinates care delivery, and employs strategies to promote health and a safe environment. Evaluates progress toward attaining outcomes. Collaborates with the team, patient, and family in providing patient care in a safe and caring environment. Provides learning opportunities for patients, family members, and team members. Directly provides health information to patients and families. Participates in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care. Delegates appropriately and coordinates duties of healthcare team members. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
