Per Diem CNC Machinist

Job Title: CNC Machinist Job Location: Newport News, VA Job Type: Contract position based out of Houston, TX Pay: $37.50/hr, $140 per diem Responsibilities Operate manual and NC machines such as lathes, mills, horizontal & vertical machining centers, and EDMs. Utilize controllers such as Fanuc, Siemens, Acramatic, and Cincinnati-Milacron. Use precision measuring instruments including outside/inside micrometers, depth mics, and verniers. Perform threading, drilling, and tapping processes. Work with carbide machining processes. Interpret and comprehend complex mechanical drawings and blueprints. Apply strong math skills in daily tasks. Qualifications Minimum 8 years of experience as a CNC machinist. Experience working with mills and lathes. Knowledge of CNC machines and Fanuc control systems.
