Business Systems AdministratorThe Business Systems Administrator is responsible for the administration, configuration, and support of the organization's core banking system, in branch processing solutions, and workflow automation platforms. This role ensures that critical operational systems run reliably and efficiently, enabling smooth daily operations across branches and back-office departments. The position partners with IT, operations, and vendors to resolve issues, implement enhancements, and optimize processes that improve service delivery and organizational performance.General ResponsibilitiesCore Banking System AdministrationManage daily operations, configuration, and maintenance of the core banking platformOversee system updates, patches, and vendor driven enhancementsMaintain user access, permissions, and security controlsMonitor system performance and troubleshoot operational issuesEnsure data integrity and compliance with regulatory requirementsWorkflow & Automation PlatformsAdminister workflow engines used for account opening, loan processing, exception handling, and other operational processesDesign, configure, and optimize automated workflows to improve efficiency and reduce manual workMonitor routing, approvals, and system integrations to ensure smooth operationsCollaborate with business units to identify process improvements and automation opportunitiesMaintain documentation and version control for workflow changesUser Support & TrainingProvide Tier 2 support for system issues escalated from operations or ITTrain employees on system functionality, new features, and best practicesCommunicate system changes, outages, and updates to stakeholdersSecurity, Compliance & Risk ManagementMaintain strong access controls and audit trails across all platformsSupport internal and external audits with system data and documentationEnsure systems comply with regulatory standards and internal policiesIdentify and mitigate operational risks related to system configuration or performanceAncillary DutiesActively represents the Bank in public relations and other related community activities.Performs tasks which are supportive in nature to the essential functions of the job, but which may be altered or re-designed depending upon individual circumstances.Physical RequirementsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Additional technical training or coursework in information systems, workflow automation, or banking operations preferred.Skill(s):Strong understanding of operational workflows and system administrationAbility to troubleshoot complex system issuesExcellent communication, documentation, and problem solving skillsProficiency with technology platforms, system configuration, and user supportAbility to collaborate with IT, operations, and external vendorsKnowledge of security controls, access management, and compliance standardsExperience:Experience administering core banking systems, financial operations software, or similar enterprise platformsExperience supporting workflow automation tools (BPM, LOS, account opening systems) preferredFamiliarity with SQL, reporting tools, or data extraction helpfulPrior experience in a financial institution or fintech environment preferred
