Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

Job Summary:

Seeking an experienced Medical Surgical RN to deliver comprehensive inpatient care within a hospital setting. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical skills, patient assessment abilities, and effective collaboration with the healthcare team.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care within the RN scope of practice, following physician and provider orders.
• Perform thorough assessments, develop care plans, and reevaluate patient progress regularly.
• Administer medications, IV therapy, oxygen, blood products, and other treatments accurately and promptly.
• Monitor patient vital signs and condition changes, reporting abnormal findings to providers.
• Educate patients and families on disease management, medications, discharge instructions, and follow-up care.
• Document all assessments, procedures, and patient interactions accurately in the electronic health record.

Qualifications:

• Hold a current Colorado RN license or the ability to obtain licensure in good standing.
• Possess a minimum of 5 years of Med Surg or Emergency Room experience, including previous traveler assignments.
• Demonstrate proficiency with Cerner EHR/EMR systems.
• Maintain current BLS certification; ACLS and PALS certifications required or completed within three months.
• Exhibit strong clinical skills, critical thinking, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Show excellent communication, teamwork, and patient advocacy skills.
