Construction Project Manager

Job Description Whiting‑Turner is a National ENR Top 25 General Contractor that values its employees and fosters a positive and supportive culture. We are seeking a qualified project manager to lead various commercial projects in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial, team‑based environment. Qualified candidates shall possess 3 to 20+ years of experience in the industry and a proven track record for delivering complex projects with minimal delays while delighting the customer. A successful candidate will have a proven ability to manage a team, schedule and costs, and focus on safety and quality on the project. Projects are located throughout the San Francisco Bay Area, with offices in Pleasanton, Millbrae, and Silicon Valley. Preferred Experience and Skills Ability to be a leader and mentor as part of a diverse team. Problem‑solving and conflict resolution skills. Knowledge of construction principles and ambition to succeed/advance. Bachelor of Science in an Engineering discipline, Engineering Technology, or Construction Management/Technology. Excellent verbal and written communication. Practitioner of innovation and continuous improvement. Experience managing financial impacts on site. Proven ability to plan, schedule and coordinate subcontract trades. Ability to interface well with owners, architects, engineers, and on‑site management team. Subcontract award/buy‑out experience. Scope writing/definition experience. Change order presentation and negotiation experience. Prepare schedules and manage progress. Project accounting skills. Scheduling software experience. Salary Range The base salary range for this position reflects the company’s good‑faith estimate at the time of posting and is dependent on a number of factors including role, level, education, experience, training, skills and abilities, location, market and business considerations. Individual pay is determined through interviews and assessment of these factors. The information above reflects base salary only; other compensation such as profit sharing, appreciation rights, retirement, travel, holiday contribution, vacation, sick leave, parental leave, healthcare (including dental and vision), life insurance, disability insurance, and other benefits will vary based on service, location and performance. The annual base salary range is subject to change at any time at the company’s discretion and does not alter the at‑will nature of employment.
