Location: Hybrid (Remote & Bay Area, CA)
Commitment: 25-30 hours per week
You will play a crucial role in helping us secure the financial support needed to make our mission a reality.
This is a flexible volunteer opportunity, perfect for someone who want to make a meaningful contribution with their time and expertise in impacting the lives of people who need help.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Grant Research and Writing:
- Identify potential grant opportunities from foundations, corporations, and government agencies.
- Prepare and submit compelling grant proposals and applications.
- Maintain a database of grants and their status.
- Donor Engagement:
- Assist in developing donor outreach strategies to cultivate and steward relationships.
- Help organize fundraising events and campaigns to engage donors.
- Express our gratitude to donors through personalized communications.
- Fundraising Initiatives:
- Collaborate with the fundraising team to develop and execute fundraising campaigns.
- Contribute to the creation of fundraising materials and collateral.
- Track and report on the progress of fundraising efforts.
- Research and Analysis:
- Monitor industry trends and best practices in fundraising.
- Analyze data and metrics to optimize fundraising strategies.
Qualifications:
- Passion for our organization's mission and a desire to make a positive impact.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Research and analytical abilities.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Experience in grant writing, fundraising, or donor relations is a plus but not required.
- Must be available 10 AM - 3 PM PT on weekdays.
- Hybrid role - occasional in-person meetings/events in the Bay Area.
- References required before starting.
