Description

American Traveler is seeking an Outpatient Physical Therapist with at least 1 year of experience to treat neuro/ortho and medically complex patients at a Level II Trauma, Magnet-designated hospital.

Details

• Outpatient PT setting within an acute care hospital
• Treats neuro/ortho and medically complex patient populations
• Day shift schedule, 4x10 or 5x8 hours, no weekends except some Saturdays
• No on-call requirements
• Epic EMR used for charting
• Scrubs provided by facility

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Current BLS certification required
• Active Alaska PT license required (or compact license in hand at submission); license required if applicable
• Experience with neuro and orthopedic conditions including post-op spinal, shoulder, and hip/knee replacement preferred
• Experience treating cognitive disorders, MS, Parkinson's, stroke, TBI, and spinal cord injury preferred
• Skilled in home exercise program development and patient/family education
• Epic charting experience required

• First-time travelers are accepted
• Candidates must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays
• All requested time off must be submitted upfront during the application process, as post-offer requests may not be accommodated
• Two supervisory references covering at least 1 year of employment within the last 3 years are required
• Former permanent staff may return as a traveler after a 3-month waiting period
• Local candidates within 50 miles of the facility are not accepted for the travel rate
• Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities as needed
