Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing individualized treatment plans that reflect clients’ unique goals, preferences, and needs, focusing on therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

  • Providing psychoeducation to clients and their families regarding mood disorders, self-care strategies, and treatment options, emphasizing empowerment and resilience.

  • Closely monitoring client progress and regularly updating treatment plans based on their evolving needs and feedback.

  • Collaborating with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated and comprehensive care for clients.

  • Staying informed about the latest research and advancements in mood disorder treatment to enhance intervention strategies.

  • Maintaining meticulous client records in adherence to ethical guidelines and legal requirements.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily work with clients suffering from mood disorders, such as depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. You will also be equipped to support marginalized populations, including individuals experiencing homelessness, refugees, and survivors of domestic abuse, thus playing an essential role in alleviating their distress and aiding in their recovery.
