Quality Assurance TechWage: $22.25/hourShift: 2ndHours: 2:30pm - 11:00pm (Monday - Friday with the possibility of working Saturday or Sunday) Join our 2nd shift team in Madison, WI and play a key role in maintaining food quality and safety. If you're bilingual in English and Spanish, detail-oriented, and proactive, don't miss this opportunity and apply today!Responsibilities:Perform pre-operational inspections (Pre-Run)Verify proper cleaning and sanitation of production linesConduct in-process inspections hourly or as requiredPerform End of Run proceduresMonitor inclusions and raw materials during productionVerify product weight, fill height, and cutting qualityPerform sensory evaluations (taste tests)Ensure proper sealing and packagingVerify correct code dates and packaging materials (including allergens on packaging)Monitor line and inclusion temperaturesPerform pH and overrun testing when requiredCheck and adjust metal detectors and X-ray equipmentConfirm allergen testing has been completed when requiredVerify scales and critical equipmentMonitor compliance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices)Complete daily documentation (GMP logs, calibrations, test records) in a timely mannerFill out hourly inspection reportsTake verification photos and videos when requiredCollect and manage retention and customer samplesRequirements:Strong math and computer aptitudeHigh School DiplomaAble to stand, walk, stoop, and bend during the shiftBilingual: English/SpanishAble to work well in a fast-paced, ever-changing atmosphereGood communication skillsStrong attention to detailAnalytical skillsAble to work under pressureProactive attitudePrevious experience in quality control within a manufacturing environment (food industry preferred)Knowledge of GMP and food safety standardsIND035 QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
