1099 Contract - Facilities Electrician (Building + Grounds, 6-12 months)

Description

Core Responsibilities

Maintenance & Repair: Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain Facility electrical systems, including wiring, circuit breakers, small motors and lighting fixtures.
Installation: Install electrical equipment, conduit, wiring, and apparatus according to electrical codes.
Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine inspections and maintenance on electrical panels, motor control centers, and emergency generators.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety procedures (LOTO - Lockout/Tagout), building codes, and regulations to ensure a safe environment.
System Diagnostics: Diagnose malfunctions in electrical power and lighting circuits.
Documentation: Keep detailed records of maintenance, repairs, and technical documentation, such as schematics.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Licensure: Valid Journeyman Electrician License or higher.
Experience: Previous experience in industrial, commercial, or facility maintenance settings.
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of 3-phase systems and low-to-medium voltage switchgear.
Skills: Ability to read blueprints, electrical diagrams, and schematics.
Physical Ability: Able to work at heights on ladders or lifts, lift heavy equipment, and work in tight spaces.

Typical Working Conditions

Combination of maintenance shop work, on-site repairs in office or industrial environments, and work with 120VAC to 480 VAC 3Phase. equipment

*This is a 1099 contract position. The contract length is prpoposed for 6 months for full time (~ 40hrs / week) with the option to extend if needed, tor alternatively 12 months for part-time (~ 20 hrs / week).
