Salary Range: $18.00 To $18.00 Hourly

Management Services Corporation (MSC), one of The Caton Companies, is seeking an Administrative Assistant for our Longview Oaks Apartments, a conventional apartment community in Harrisonburg, Virginia. This is an excellent opportunity for an administrative-minded candidate.

Job Duties

The purpose of this position is to provide administrative support to the Property Manager.

• Greet residents, prospects, vendors, and visitors in a professional and courteous manner

• Answer and direct incoming phone calls and emails

• Assist with general office administration and daily front office operations

• Maintain resident and prospect files in accordance with company policies and fair housing requirements

• Enter and update resident information in property management software systems

• Prepare, scan, copy, file, and organize office documents and reports

• Assist with scheduling appointments, resident meetings, inspections, and vendor visits

• Accept and process rental payments and issue receipts as directed

• Support lease administration activities, including document preparation and renewals

• Assist with move-in and move-out paperwork and resident communications

• Receive and distribute mail, packages, and deliveries

• Other duties as assigned

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a part-time position; office hours and days are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; part-time hours will vary.

Required Education and Experience

· High school diploma or equivalent and professional knowledge of business discipline are required.
