Backed by a team of dedicated professionals and a commitment to continuous improvement, Dyno Nobel sets the standard for reliable and responsible blasting manufacturing and services worldwide.What You'll DoAs a Class A CDL Driver, you will operate Dyno Nobel trucks and specialty equipment to deliver commercial explosives products to customers in a safe, timely, and efficient manner. Duties will include:Assist in the operation and maintenance of our local SME (Site Mixed Emulsion) plant facility; duties include, preparation and quality control management of chemical solutions, loading and un-loading of SME trucks.Drive/operate a range of delivery vehicles over public roads in order to move or deliver explosive products to company or customer sites in a timely and safe mannerDriving duties will frequently extend off of public roads to include mine locations/roads, quarries, FSRs, off-road field locations and other such potentially difficult terrain.Drive and operate bulk/SME truck in order to prepare and deliver quality explosive products to customer sitesOperation of rigid-frame, engine-powered machines (skid steer) and associated equipment (trailer).Possess basic mechanical skills and the ability to troubleshoot and perform minor repairs or maintenance while in the field, deliver and off load product within DN H&S Management System procedures and practicesCalibrate equipment, calculate fuel percentages and check emulsion densityLoad and unload all trucks, and maintain magazines, sites and inventoriesFollow all safety procedures and maintain safe working conditions in the shop, while driving and operating equipment and while on blast sites in order to protect personal safety and safety of othersPrepare and maintain all records and reports concerning the handling and transportation of explosive products, including safety, and the use and detonation of explosives, in order to ensure accurate billing, regulatory compliance and performance historyKnowledgeable of and consistently apply practices consistent with company policies and procedures from applicable technical modules, SOPs, work site, and safety policies and procedures.Maintain safe working conditions and assure that all crew members and others on the site follow all safety and regulatory procedures and practices to ensure a safe and successful event.From time to time, working from our sister site at Rathdrum, ID and/or Oakland, OR, on an ad hoc basis, as required by the site supervisor.What We're Looking For:CDL Class A or B requiredAir Brakes endorsement required.Hazmat endorsement preferred.Must be willing to undergo and pass an ATF background check as required to be a possessor of explosivesAbility to read, write, and speak English, and to communicate in writing and verballyMust be able to move items weighing up to 60lbs repetitively over the course of a working dayMust be able to work Monday - Friday early morning start times (anywhere from 8 to 14 hours daily)Positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and a team playerDyno Nobel is an equal employment opportunity employer and will give all qualified applicants consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national or ethnic origin, age, disability status, protected veteran status, genetic information or any other characteristic protected by law.
