Software Engineering Manager

Position Purpose:The Software Engineering Manager will lead the development and delivery of high-quality web applications to serve our business customers, ensuring alignment with corporate technology and innovation goals. Emphasizing both teamwork and individual contribution, the office environment supports a balance of strategic planning and hands-on leadership.Minimum Qualifications:Proven experience as a Hands-on Leader within a Software Engineering environment.A minimum of 5 years of experience in developing cloud-native applications leveraging Microservices architecture and Serverless computing.Demonstrated success in leading small teams (2-5 members) to deliver high-impact products within an Agile development environment.Extensive experience and proficiency with Azure functions, .Net, and C using the Microsoft Visual Studio IDE, focusing on developing Websites, RESTful APIs, database connectivity, and back-end systems and integrations.Expertise in SQL, including the use of stored procedures and data retrieval methods across various database systems.Deep knowledge of Azure Cloud, specifically Azure functions, and Azure API management.Advanced skills in using Microsoft Visual Studio and Visual Studio Code development environments.Comprehensive understanding of security protocols, access control, and authorization in web environments, alongside familiarity with OWASP principles.Proven expertise in designing and maintaining scalable systems utilizing Microservices or Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA).Knowledge and execution of unit testing and mocking frameworks.Experience in managing DevOps processes and supporting Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools, particularly Terraform.Strong understanding of system architecture and design patterns.Experience with logging frameworks for system monitoring and analysis.Familiarity with cloud technologies, such as Azure and AWS, is considered a plus.Capability to rapidly learn and adapt to new technologies, processes, and business models.Experience within an eCommerce environment is a plus.Demonstrated ability to approach problem-solving holistically, integrating technology and process-oriented solutions.Preferred Qualifications:1.
