Job Title and Location Data Researcher – Research Data Specialist I at Public Employees Retirement System, Sacramento County, CA. Responsibilities Independently design and lead research projects and assignments under the direction of the Research Data Supervisor II. Apply research methods, analytical techniques, statistical methods, and modeling tools to assess retirement policy impacts and business process improvements. Produce comprehensive research reports and provide actionable insights on policies, data, and process improvements. Minimum Qualifications Intermediate knowledge and experience with research methods, analytical techniques, statistical methods for data analysis and projections. Proficiency with research data tools and software required to conduct and present research. Ability to work independently with a high degree of initiative, flexibility, and tact. Desirable Qualifications Qualitative and quantitative analysis skills sufficient to perform the duties described. Knowledge of research methods, computerized modeling, statistical analysis, survey methods, and operations research methods. Familiarity with computer and statistical programs (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SAS). Strong writing skills for clear, concise reports and recommendations.
