About the Position

Radiation Oncology locums coverage in Florida with a consistent Monday to Friday clinic schedule and a light, predictable call rotation. You will work alongside another radiation oncologist with dedicated nursing and strong therapist support.

• 5 days per week, 4 clinical days and 1 OTV day
• Balanced workload and dedicated support team

Practice Setting

• Mix of inpatient and outpatient responsibilities, including new and established visits, simulations, and stereotactic coverage
• In clinic opposite one other radiation oncologist
• Support includes one dedicated RN per physician, plus therapists and schedulers to cover sim and machine needs
• Typical patient load is 18 to 25 patients on treatment per physician, about 10 new patients and 10 follow ups per week

Schedule

• Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm
• 5 days per week, 4 clinical days and 1 OTV day
• Call is once every four weeks, Monday through Sunday, includes inpatient consult coverage
• Callback is variable, rare weekend needs, average of 3 to 5 calls per weekday

Cases and Procedures

• All typical radiation treatment delivery procedures, no brachytherapy
• Techniques include 3D, IMRT, and SBRT/SRS
• Equipment includes Truebeams
• Planning and workflow in Epic with Aria, Eclipse, and MIM

Requirements

• Must be an MD or DO
• Board certified in Radiation Oncology
• Active Florida medical license, licensing candidates will not be considered
• Vaccination required
