This position involves delivering high-quality patient care by following established nursing care plans, supervising healthcare team members, and ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the duration of a 13-week assignment. Job Details Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and a minimum of 1 year of related experience are required. Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week. Performs comprehensive nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission, forming the basis of individualized care plans. Collaborates with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to identify educational needs and goals related to diagnoses. Documents all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and promptly in the medical record in accordance with policy. Participates in patient rehabilitation activities and directs direct patient care utilizing the nursing process: assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating. Initiates discharge planning and patient education starting from the day of admission. Communicates patient status updates to support continuity of care, including handoffs to physicians and team members. Provides supervision and training to ancillary nursing staff, using problem-solving and organizational skills. Ensures personal and environmental safety following hospital and nursing policies. Contributes positively to team dynamics by providing calm leadership and reassurance. Maintains open communication with management regarding supplies, equipment, and training needs. Assumes charge responsibilities following orientation. Engages in ongoing professional development through continuing education and self-study. Prioritizes activities and manages time effectively to meet patient needs.
