Schedule: Varies (shift differential will apply for hours worked after 5 pm on a weekday or any hour on the weekend) POSITION SUMMARY Performs diagnostic MRI scanning procedures to produce consistently high-quality examinations in accordance with all applicable standards, regulations, and licensing requirements. Provides excellent patient care for all MRI scan procedures. Quickly and accurately completes all paperwork to include orders, lab work and authorization confirmation. Consistently monitors and ensures the safety of patients as it relates to radiation and contrast dosing. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Examines orders and verifies the patient request for accuracy. Addresses any questionable orders with the Radiologist before performing the procedure(s). Operates MRI equipment to make quality images of designated portions of the body under the direct order of a physician and in accordance with MRI safety procedures Completes required paperwork/orders, email order request and authorization in a timely and accurate manner. Accurately records patient medical history on designated history form. Correlates test results and other lab data with exam being performed Perform intravenous injections of GBCA when required Monitor supplies/stock room/equipment. Proactively initiates ordering or repairs, as needed. Maintain a clean and orderly work environment Maintain all necessary QA documentation Effectively communicates with Radiologist for protocols, as needed Effectively communicates with PACS/IT for imaging distribution, as necessary Operates x-ray equipment to make quality images of designated portions of the body under the direct order of a physician and in accordance with radiation safety procedures Minimum Qualifications Associates Degree in Radiologic Technology ARRT, MRI BLS MRI experience Physical Requirements & Work Environment Primarily walking and standing Lifting 25-50 lbs Charlotte Radiology offers competitive base salary and comprehensive health and welfare benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, Flexible Spending Accounts, PTO, Telehealth, Disability, Employee Assistance Program, and 401k Retirement Savings.
