Registered Nurse (RN)We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for a fast-paced unit specializing in gastrointestinal (GI) care and telemetry. This position requires a minimum of two years of experience and is ideal for professionals who have successfully completed at least two prior assignments.Provide advanced nursing care for a diverse patient population with various GI conditions, including blood loss, anemia, and infections.Monitor patients, including those requiring telemetry, for cardiac rhythm and stability.Assist with patient admissions, discharges, and general care within a busy environment.Collaborate with other medical staff to ensure comprehensive patient care.Float to other medical-surgical units as needed to meet staffing requirements.Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with preference given to candidates with telemetry skills.Completion of at least two successful travel assignments in a similar role.Valid Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.Proven ability to manage multiple patients and prioritize tasks effectively in a high-pressure environment.Shift: 12-Hour Nights (18:45 - 07:15)Commitment to every other weekend required.Minimum of 36 hours per week, with potential for additional hours.Target nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6, with possible adjustments to 1:7 during peak times.Unit orientation duration: 36 hours.Required scrub colors: Navy and/or white.All candidates must pass EKG Testing prior to the start of the assignment. The unit maintains a heavy patient turnover, averaging one-third of beds occupied daily, showcasing the dynamic nature of this position.
