Principal AI Engineer

• Architect, build, and deploy production-grade AI applications using strong software engineering principles, scalable architecture, and enterprise-ready design patterns.
• Develop Python-based services, APIs, backend components, orchestration logic, and data pipelines that support LLM-powered workflows.
• Design and implement LLM and RAG solutions, including prompt engineering, embeddings, vector databases, semantic search, retrieval tuning, and response evaluation.
• Deploy and operate AI solutions on AWS using cloud-native services, CI/CD, monitoring, security controls, and production support practices.
• Partner with product, data, platform, and business stakeholders to translate user queries and ambiguous AI use cases into reliable engineering solutions.

Required Skills & Experience
• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, including hands-on experience designing, deploying, and supporting production AI, machine learning, data, or platform solutions.
• Principal-level technical leadership experience with the ability to own architecture, influence engineering direction, mentor engineers, and solve ambiguous problems independently.
• Expert-level Python skills with experience building production services, APIs, pipelines, automation, integrations, testing frameworks, and reusable engineering components.
• Hands-on AWS experience with cloud-native architecture, deployment patterns, permissions, observability, security, and production operations.
• Strong experience with LLMs, RAG patterns, vector databases, embeddings, user query workflows, prompt engineering, model evaluation, and scalable AI pipelines.
