Assistant Credit Controller, Credit Specialist Iselin, NJ Job area: Credit & Collection Dsv Global Transport and Logistics Division: Air & Sea Time Type: Full Time This is an in-office position, not remote Job Overview The Credit Specialist works as a member of the credit team located in Iselin, NJ. The primary responsibility is to compile customer credit information submitted to our credit insurance company to conduct credit investigations and determine risk. The incumbent works closely with all DSV entities, supporting all of North America. The role requires understanding external credit agency reports, such as Dun & Bradstreet and Credit Risk Monitor, and reporting to the Supervisor of Credit. Responsibilities Receive and review Customer Profile Request Forms for credit approval or uplift. Assist in preparation and submission of monthly premium insurance declarations through the Atradius website. Conduct credit investigations and analyze diverse credit information from internal and external sources. Work proactively to ensure customers do not exceed their credit limit. Prepare internal Credit Agreement Forms to determine internal risk where insurance has not been secured. Communicate with business and sales teams during the customer application/review process. Provide management with comprehensive summaries of factors pertaining to credit risk. Execute ad hoc projects as needed. Skills and Qualifications Three years of progressively responsible experience in a Credit Department (preferred). Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions. Understanding of D&B and Experian Credit Report data for B2B credit decisions (preferred). Understanding of the factors that go into making credit decisions. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. High level of confidentiality and independent judgment. Professional, business‑like manner and customer service skills. SAP experience preferred. Expected base pay: $22.50 – $30.50 per hour, based on experience, skills, education, or certifications and geographic location.
