Job Details Position: Travel PCU Registered Nurse (Progressive Care Unit / Step Down RN) Employment Type: Travel Nursing Job Location: Natchez, MS 39120 Start Date: 09/14/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour nights, 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM Hours per Week: 36 Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,640 - $1,730 Dress Code: Royal blue scrubs Unit Type: Step Down / PCU Patient Ratio: 5:1 Travel Requirement: Permanent residence must be at least 50 miles from the facility Job Requirements Active Registered Nurse (RN) license Minimum of 1 year of recent PCU, Step Down, Progressive Care, or similar acute care experience Current BLS and ACLS certifications PALS certification, or ability to obtain within the first 3 weeks of arrival Ability to work consistent night shifts in a fast-paced hospital environment Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and attention to detail Comfortable providing care in a high-acuity Progressive Care Unit / Step Down setting Meets travel nurse eligibility requirements Responsibilities Provide high-quality nursing care to PCU and Step Down patients Monitor patient condition, assess changes, and promptly escalate concerns as needed Administer medications and treatments in accordance with care plans and safety standards Collaborate with physicians and the care team to support optimal patient outcomes Maintain accurate, timely documentation throughout the shift Deliver patient and family education with professionalism and compassion Support a safe, organized, and efficient clinical environment Adapt to patient needs while maintaining excellent quality of care during overnight shifts Apply now to join this travel nursing opportunity in Natchez, Mississippi and take the next step in your Registered Nurse career.
