Director OF Surgical Services

Director (RN) Surgical Services Status/FTE: FT / 1.0 | Shift length: 8 hours | Start Time: 0700 | Unit: Surgical Services | On Call: 24/7 | Schedule: May need to work occasional weekends/holidays. Position Summary: The Director of Surgical Services directs the department’s activities and resources to achieve departmental and organizational objectives. Develop and implement goals, plans, and standards consistent with the clinical, administrative, legal, and ethical objectives of the organization. Direct and evaluate departmental operations, including patient care delivery, information technologies, service level determination, and complaint management, to achieve performance and quality control objectives. Plan and monitor staffing activities, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions, and continuing education initiatives. Prepare, monitor, and evaluate departmental budgets, and ensure compliance with allocated funding. Coordinate and direct internal and external audits. Maintain regular and reliable attendance. Required Qualifications: Current RN license. Bachelor's degree from an accredited nursing school. BLS for Healthcare Provider upon hire. PALS and ACLS within six (6) months of hire. Five (5) years’ experience as a Surgical Services RN and as a leader at the Manager or Director level. Additional Requirements: Subject to Drug and Alcohol Testing according to MT Law 39-2-205-39-2-211.
