Patient Services AssociateBriarwood Pediatric Rehabilitation is seeking a Patient Services Associate. This position provides general clerical support in a patient care environment.ResponsibilitiesThis position will schedule new and return visits determining appropriate sub-specialty within a clinic based on symptoms. Schedule patients for consultations in other clinics and diagnostic studies. Maintain and update appointment schedules based on change in availability of medical and other professional staff. Determine existence of previous registration and obtain, verify and update insurance, financial, statistical and demographic information with the patient. Collect cash and credit card payments from patients using established guidelines to determine patient pay portion, insurance portion or professional courtesy. Provide information to patient regarding billing procedures.
