We are a 374 room hotel with over 100,000 sf of meeting space located on the river in downtown Augusta, Georgia. Our Banquet Captains are responsible for the performance of hourly banquet food and beverage servers and is the personal representative of the property to banquet event guests. As such, you are expected to coordinate all aspects of the room/facilities set-up and food and beverage service so that all efforts are directed toward guest satisfaction, the achievement/maintenance of brand standards and profit maximization. You will: set up, create, lead, manage people and resources, train, meet with guests, handle billing, guest requests, computer systems, inspect rooms, ensure guest satisfaction, ensure associates perform to expectation, ensure food delivery and room set up and exceed guest expectations and more! Prior leadership experience is required. It is a position that requires that you are physically fit; can walk the entire convention space multiple times during a shift, push, pull carts, food, dishes and tables weighing no less than 30 pounds. You must be able to work at all levels of the organization, have great communication and leadership skills, attend daily meetings to discuss action plans and set ups, be well versed in computers, able to handle billing, reports to management etc. A few characteristics that we look for are: Team work, leadership by example, respectful communication, ability to handle conflict and resolve to satisfaction, work safely and ensure the team works safely, be well-groomed and proven skills to hold the team accountable.

Compensation: $17.00 - $17.00 per hour
