Description

• Conduct evaluations for patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing both standardized assessments and hands-on observations.
• Create tailored treatment plans that focus on immediate objectives while considering long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing challenges.
• Implement personalized speech therapy interventions aimed at improving communication skills, language comprehension, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing capabilities.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and medical providers, uniting efforts for comprehensive patient care.
• Educate patients and their families to facilitate ongoing progress beyond therapy sessions.
• Occasionally conduct inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions to maintain continuity of care throughout the treatment process.
• Ensure precise and timely documentation that adheres to state, federal, and institutional standards.
• Commit to professional development by keeping abreast of the latest advancements in speech-language pathology.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited educational institution.
• Fulfillment of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within the first 30 days of employment.
