St Mary Center, is looking to hire for the Recreation Aide position. Recreation Aide Responsibilities:
- Assists in planning and executing recreational activities based on the needs and interests of the residents
- Encourages social interaction and communication between the residents through group recreation, and community interaction programs
- Facilitates recreational programs on an individual and group basis
- Provides individual intervention to residents based on personal needs and conditions
- Records resident attendance and participation level at recreation programs, writes progress notes, and attends care plan meetings as necessary
- Assists in the upkeep, storage, and organization of the recreation department supplies
- Assists with admission assessments, MDS, care plans and progress notes
- Ensures that residents receive the highest quality of service in a warm and caring environment which recognizes the individuals' needs and capabilities
- Performs other related job duties as required
Recreation Aide Qualifications:
- High school degree or equivalent
- Must be computer-literate with Word, Outlook and basic software skills
- Experience with elderly and dementia-care preferred
Full Time: 8am-4:30pm with 1 day being 11am-7pm, every other weekend
