Job Description:


- Position: MedSurg Nurse
- Shift: 12H Nights (7p-7a), Every Other Weekend
- Unit: 2W MedSurg
- Bed Capacity: 55 beds

Key Responsibilities:


- Provide exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment
- Collaborate with a supportive healthcare team
- Float between MedSurg units as required
- Utilize Cerner for efficient charting and patient management
- Monitor telemetry patients and interpret EKG strips

Qualifications:


- Experience: 3-4 years of MedSurg nursing experience preferred
- Certification: BLS Certification required
- Technical Skills: Must have Cerner experience
- Attitude: Strong, humble, and positive demeanor essential
- Patient Ratios: 5:1 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Orientation: 2 shifts of floor-specific orientation provided

Additional Information:


- Nurse Aides: PCT support available (1-3 depending on patient census)
- Charge Nurse: Yes, charge nurse on unit (does not take patients)
- IV Team and Pharmacy: Available 24/7 for support
- Weekend Rotation: Required every other weekend
- Floating: Required, with established 'home base' unit
