The Ford Agency has partnered with a national higher education focused association to search for a strategic director to head the logistical planning of annual meetings and various other live and virtual stakeholder engagement events. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with full cycle event planning and execution experience who is looking to work with a well-organized and forward thinking team!
Responsibilities Include:
- Develop strategic concepts for meetings in alignment with association and member engagement goals and current industry trends
- Direct all logistical elements of large and small events
- Collaborate internally on event marketing and member facing event promotional materials
- Strategically manage events' financial priorities and budgets with an eye for efficiency cost effectiveness
- Manage necessary agreements with all event related parties
Qualifications Include:
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- 3+ years of experience in meeting/conference planning or programs
- Experience working in higher education strongly preferred
- Knowledge of conference proposal management systems
- Great problem solving skills and attention to detail
Compensation:
• 100K+
Candidates for this position must be based in DC, MD, or VA area or have independent plans for relocation.
