As a Security Guard - Campus Access in Reno, NV , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Patrol Officer in a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment through strong customer service and communication. You will complete routine patrols, respond to site needs, and contribute to a caring culture built on teamwork, integrity, reliability, agility, and innovation.

Pay Rate: $21.80 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, and report relevant details to supervisors, site contacts, and/or public agency personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, observe public areas, and document security-related concerns, policy violations, and/or maintenance issues according to post instructions.
• Assist with de-escalation, directions, and general support for employees, visitors, and/or contractors while maintaining a professional presence throughout the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
