Insurance Marketing and Sales Representative

About the Role As a Marketing and Sales Representative, you’ll play a key role in helping individuals and families choose the right insurance protection—primarily home, auto, umbrella, and life insurance. You’ll represent The Lea Agency, LLC and American Family Insurance while working in a fast-paced, team-focused environment where proactive communication is essential. This is an in-office position at one of our two agency locations- DeForest or Waunakee, WI. What You’ll Do Build relationships with new and existing clients to understand their needs and recommend personalized coverage solutions. Sell and cross-sell American Family personal lines products (home, auto, umbrella, life). Conduct risk assessments to ensure clients are properly protected. Communicate clearly and proactively with clients, prospects, and teammates. Manage leads, follow up consistently, and maintain an organized sales pipeline. Collaborate with the team to reach agency goals and deliver an exceptional customer experience. Stay up-to-date on product offerings, underwriting guidelines, and compliance expectations. What We’re Looking For A proactive, self-motivated individual who takes initiative. Strong communication skills—clear, confident, and client-focused. A team player who values collaboration but can also crush goals independently. Excellent follow-through and attention to detail. A positive attitude and professional presence. Sales experience is a bonus, not a requirement (we’re willing to train the right person). Ability to obtain Property & Casualty and Life insurance licenses (or currently licensed).
