Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Location: Miami, FL
Unit: Respiratory NICU/PICU
Unit Staffing Description: The unit includes a Director, Manager, 1 Supervisor/Charge Therapist per shift, and regular staff.
Type of Equipment: High Flow Devices, 3100A, Bunnell, Servo's, continuous nebulizers, Nitric Oxide, Heliox, and regular nebulizers.
Documentation System: Meditech
Floating Policy: May provide coverage for regular adult floors for nebulizer therapy, BIPAP, CPT, etc.
Must Have: BLS, NRP, PALS, 2 years of current acute care hospital RRT experience
Preferred Qualifications: Candidates with previous Meditech experience will be given priority consideration.
Advanced Skills Needed: Current NICU/PICU experience.
Respiratory Therapists provide treatment, care, and evaluation for patients with respiratory diseases utilizing advanced technologies, medication delivery, and more.
The ideal candidate is a team player, critical thinker with a patient care focus, able to adapt to a fast-paced environment, and works collaboratively with a multidisciplinary approach.
Required uniform: Light Gray (also known as Silver)
This unit is part of a tertiary care and teaching facility recognized as a Level 1 adult and pediatric trauma center and a Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center.
