Overview
Laboratory Technologist – General, travel assignment in Templeton, CA. Start date 08/03/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay range $1,234 per week to $1,288 per week. Guaranteed hours 36 per week. Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM–7:00 AM). This travel - temporary assignment is in a Short Term Acute Care Hospital setting.

Responsibilities
- Assist in preparation of patient rooms, opening sterile supplies, and setting up for procedures using aseptic technique; verify integrity of sterile packaging.
- Provide surgical scrub assistance and supply management during operative procedures; deliver required instruments and supplies to the sterile field; participate in the timeout protocol for each case.
- Assist nursing staff with obstetric deliveries as directed, including patient preparation, positioning, transports, transfers, and discharge coordination.
- Collect urinalysis specimens and document maternal vital signs, weight, height, and intake & output measurements.
- Perform personal care services and assist with activities of daily living; assist with turning, positioning, and transport of patients; prepare, position, transport, transfers and discharge as directed.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to support patient care and efficiency on the unit.

Requirements
- Education: High School diploma or GED required; associate’s/technical degree preferred.
- Experience: At least two years of recent experience in the field.
- Licenses/Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; current nursing license for the state of assignment; Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) certification required.
- Certifications: Surgical Technician or Obstetrical Technician certification preferred.
- Specialty requirements: Cesarean section experience required; vaginal delivery experience preferred. Call may be required as needed.
