ROLE OVERVIEW:

This is a seasonal position, you can use your winters off to travel, hunt, fish or for other activities you enjoy while your benefits continue year-round

This position is responsible to operate and maintain straight truck or tractor-trailer equipment to transport material to designated location in a timely manner.

DUTIES AND/OR RESPONSIBILITIES (summary of components that make up the job)

1. Safely operate Class A truck to transport asphalt or aggregate to job site often times driving on uneven or unfinished surface
2. Inspects truck for defects before and after trips and submits report indicating truck condition
3. Maintains driver log according to ICC regulations as required
4. May operate loader to load aggregate into truck box
5. Daily maintenance of equipment such as cleaning truck inside and out, greasing, oiling, brakes, lights and any other maintenance instructed to perform
6. Recognize surroundings and practice traffic awareness to maintain a safe environment
7. Assist with plant maintenance, repairs, set up and take downs
8. Tarp load when needed
9. Clean spilled material/buildup off box (spill chutes, belts, side boards, etc.)
10. Verify that gates are closed
11. Complete load tickets
12. Maintain proper information in truck cab pouch
13. Report information accurately and completely on daily timecards, truck cab information and other needed paperwork
14. Ensure MSHA, OSHA, EPA, DNR, safety and environmental regulation compliance.
15. Always work safely and take action to prevent any and all unsafe actions, processes, and behaviors.
16. Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (minimum educational, experience, or other relevant job requirements)

As a successful CMV driver you will have:

1. Ability to hold and maintain a Class A license in accordance with all state and federal DOT/FMCSA regulations
2. Ability to work flexible shifts, including overtime and some Saturdays.
